Methods we use to recover paper
TSiBA Institution
Our starting point for collecting paper will be at TSiBA as we have the permission of the Campus manger. We will be collecting the paper every Tuesday.
We have observed that TSiBA dumps huge amounts of paper everywhere, so we have suggested to place bins at strategic places for e.g. next to the photocopy machines. We, the Envirocom team will be using black bags to collect paper.
Collecting from Spaza shops in the townships
There is not much focus on recovering paper from township areas; therefore we saw the opportunity of collecting paper from Spaza shops as we will be delivering a service to them by collecting their waste paper once every second week. This will be done by hiring a bakkie to collect the waste paper.
Schools and hospitals
We are involving schools and hospitals to collect their waste paper. We will provide them with recycling bins. This will be collected once a month by using our hired transport.
Knock and drop campaig
We designed an information label consisting of a brief profile of our company EnviroCom with our contact details. This label will be attached to the black bags which we will be distributed to households in designated areas such as Pinelands and Ridge worth.
This service will provide the community with the convenience of waste paper collection as many people do not know where to take their recycled paper or they do not have the time to do it. We are negotiating with certain stores for trollies e.g. Shoprite, Pick ‘n Pay or Spar so as to collect the waste paper in these areas.
